Neil Berman has been a trial lawyer for more than 25 years, specializing in business and real estate-oriented litigation and bankruptcy. He is a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated lawyer and a member of the American, Miami-Dade County and Bankruptcy Bar Associations. Mr. Berman has served on The Florida Bar Board of Governors and is a former member of the American Bar Association House of Delegates. He also served as president of the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar. Mr. Berman was an adjunct instructor in law at St. Thomas University. A former editor of Matthew Bender's Southeast Litigation Guide, Mr. Berman is a frequent lecturer and author of continuing legal education articles. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Florida.
In addition, Mr. Berman is an arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and the National Futures Association (NFA). He is a licensed commodity trading advisor and commodity pool operator.
Mr. Berman graduated from Boston University, magna cum laude, with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1971.He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1974, where he was managing editor of the Connecticut Law Review.
Married to partner Jill Nexon Berman, Mr. Berman has two sons and lives in Pinecrest. Originally from Connecticut, Mr. Berman has lived in Florida since 1974.
